Where did the idea for your career come from?
Many years ago, I introduced a new concept in healing to the rehabs in Malibu and then brought it to Seasons Rehab in Malibu, CA – which is to heal the soul at the “root of the root.” I knew that although people can practically write a thesis on their problems, at the end of the day, this won’t really help them heal. One needs to go beyond the rational mind and the traditional boundaries of therapy into the deeper level of the soul. To do so, we have to utilize whatever level necessary to answer our questions of what really matters: why is this happening, what do I do to deserve this, and what can I do to transform forever? And so, my revolutionary tools for healing means I will go to whatever level is necessary – this life, past life, the other side, karma, soul contracts, and energy – to transform issues forever. We manifest by healing.
What does your typical day look like and how do you make it productive?
I have been an intuitive healer at Seasons for over 12 years and counting, and I work in my own practice with clients from all walks of life. My day may start out with a client who has a relationship issue, then a client with addiction issues, then one with trauma, and on and on. I never tire of hearing the stories, as it is my passion to help people find the keys, the “aha” moment that re-frames the story, and put a new perspective on the problem. It is never boring. 22 years in this profession and I still have not heard it all!
How do you bring ideas to life?
For me, it is important to access intuition and a kind of direct telephone line to a higher creative source. As such, I always ground myself and open up the channels to higher guidance. I know that in this connection, I will be able to access important and powerful healing information that will go beyond the rational mind and access the story of the soul. It is like opening up a divine computer.
To do so, I go through this process: I close my eyes and imagine a sun above my head (the sun is a kind of electrical golden light). I imagine that it is within my abilities to access this force in my body in order to connect to higher creative power. I command the light to go down my spine and enter all of my cells. I then command all negative energy to leave me through my feet. Next, I imagine a two foot shield all around me. In this sacred space, in power and protection, I open up to the creative flow and begin to get the information that is needed for a client or whatever project I am working on. It is vital for people to know that in order to have a great life you need to protect your energy field and release the influence of the two “O’s” – others and the outside world.
What’s one trend that excites you?
When I was starting out I was always told to be careful about the words “spirituality” or “soul work” because people were not ready for it. I felt alone on a mission and quest to educate people that we are more than this life: we are multidimensional light beings with the power to heal ourselves and our world. I am ecstatic that now people are finally opening up to what I was trying to bring to the world over 20 years ago. It is an amazing piece of the pie in terms of healing addiction, trauma, and anything you want to manifest.
What is one habit of yours that makes you more productive as an entrepreneur?
One must have passion and want the mission to succeed. Like Ramakrishna said, “Do not seek illumination unless you seek it as a man whose hair is on fire seeks a pond.” A super strong intention, a life purpose that drives your soul, and that still small voice that whispers within is truly a connection that is divine. These things are the fuel that uplifts a person and keeps them in joy and happiness. I feel this fire in my heart and soul and it has been a possession that no one can take away. It is kind of like a life-saving button that keeps me focused no matter what is happening in the world outside. Living committed to a life purpose is like possessing gold.
What advice would you give your younger self?
I was always on a hero’s journey, an authentic path that made me focused on the dream, no matter what. But I would tell my younger self that a warrior’s path is longer. Every step and every challenge and every trauma has two tracks. One is trying to survive and the other is the grace and wisdom and beauty that you get from the pain. Pain is fuel and an “invitation to ascend.” Whatever comes to your front door is what is necessary and to know that the longer road is the better one.
Tell us something that’s true that almost nobody agrees with you on.
I see life from a higher spiritual soul perspective. Everything is spiritual or nothing is spiritual. In the alchemy of life, the “game of life,” everything serves the higher purpose of the soul. We are in “earth school” to become our best self. So, death and pain and trauma are an initiation into our higher selves. Even illness is spiritual.
I also work with energy and sometimes an addict will come to the center with a possession. I never meant to believe in darker energies, but I came to it through trying to help people who were taken over by hard drugs. Unless the addict is brought back into the light, they won’t be able to make the right decisions to stop. I have to utilize the removal of these negative energies and I will do what I have to do, even though many doctors won’t believe it. For example, if a client comes into the center who has pain from a loss of their child, I will help the child pass over to the light. The proof that this is real is when the parent begins to feel better immediately. They go from utter despair to peace in a short time. That is proof that there is more to this life and than what we see with our senses.
As an entrepreneur, what is the one thing you do over and over and recommend everyone else do?
Just like one takes a shower everyday or begins with coffee and breakfast, there must be a routine. I center the light inside of my body every day. When you see life from the level of energy medicine, you know that people suffer from depression and anxiety because they are sponges and pick up energy that adds to their storehouse. When one learns to clear, protect, and align energy everyday, they are free to manifest their dreams. They don’t carry the world’s karma and other people’s baggage. It is amazing how depression is really about not knowing how to vacuum out your life, or clear the events of the past or the hooks, chains, and cords that bind us to others. We must be in the “sovereignty of self” to be healthy. We have to see who we gave our energy to and who took it in order to be free and be happy. So, I teach everyone I work with to see on an energy level and clear old friends, lovers, and relatives from their body.
What is one strategy that has helped you grow your business?
I stay in my passion and integrity and my desire to help others. There is an authenticity and passion to everything I do, and so that makes me a success already. My heart is in the right place. I stay on that intention and grow my business from my love of helping others. When I write or do my shows and videos, it also comes from that pure desire to enlighten, inspire, and heal others.
What is one failure you had as an entrepreneur, and how did you overcome it?
I think waiting for others to help you, or waiting for the world to get you, or waiting for that deal or agent or job, is a mistake. One must create one’s destiny and not ask anyone for permission. When I stopped asking for validation and someone to “get me” – that is when I was really free to be me and to do what I came to earth to do.
What’s the best $100 you recently spent? What and why?
I have a PR agent at Valerie Allen Public Relations who helps get my work out to the public. I think that money is the best money I ever spent and will continue to spend.
What is one piece of software or a web service that helps you be productive?
I was one of the original YouTubers. I began my award-winning tv show there, “Reel Women,” dedicated to creating positive female role models in our media. I won several awards for “Reel Women” and I am most proud of this. I also recently created another show, “Hope for Relationships,” which gives keys and nuggets of relationship wisdom to manifest healing and love for all. What is the one book that you recommend our community should read and why?
Victor Frankl’s “Man’s Search for Meaning” is my go-to. It helps people to understand that all suffering can lead to transformation if you choose. And when you have a reason to live, that is happiness.
What is your favorite quote?
This amazing quote from Rumi: “This is the essence of all sciences – that you should know who you will be when the Day of Reckoning arrives.” I think it is important to know that we are here in earth school to evolve into our best selves. We must end all victimhood and blame and become creators of our own reality in order to heal everything we can while we are here.
- The right questions always lead to truth and enlightenment. This interview can lead one to know what really matters to them and why they are creating the business that they are in. Are you motivated by money? Validation in success? Or are you passionately connected to a divine purpose? When one gets clear on the purpose of their business, the universe will be like the wind propelling the boat. Divine purpose is golden fuel.
- It is important to have concepts and formulas and laws that govern your life and keep you on track. Life is not easy and building a business can have its ups and downs, but if you see the endpoint and stay true to the goal, then your boundaries will keep you focused in the hard times. These questions in this interview highlight what codes of living to keep you on the train to success.
- Living from your own center and not allowing the world to throw you off is a golden point. Let the heart be the guide. Never let negativity grab hold of your soul and take you down. Stay in a vibrationally high energy field and work on this every day.
