Life is how you swim.
Sometimes we almost drown, get pulled into the river’s currents but fight to keep your boat afloat. What matters is that you get back in again and again, that you trust the waves to carry you and respect the ride.
Failure is keeping a scorecard to calculate your movement. Failure is taking a clock and a calendar with you. Failure is listening to the loud, negative voices of others as your compass. Pain is looking for happiness outside of you. You watch and wonder, “Where is it?” but in your travels you are using the wrong navigation. When you are lost, you need to be in silence.
Success understands the victory of the determined soul. It is important that you always reach, no matter what has happened to you. The answer, the anchor, the center point is always your heart and your ability to see in the NOW. You jumped in the boat. You’re still in, despite the chaos, the trauma, the times, the events, the destruction, and the foreboding tempests.
Is it not a miracle that you and those among you still embrace truth and love despite the pain? Is it not a miracle that some still choose the light amidst the darkness and open the gates to high dreams while the world and the past may be pulling you backwards and down?
Is it not amazing, astounding and magical that some refuse limitation and mediocrity? Is not courageous that you stay afloat in the boat, on the river, in the night, when it would be so much easier to cry and turn back?
It is to look up to find the course. Closing your eyes, you may feel the angels blow a gentle kiss to steer your way. They are so happy that you move like them and see with your heart. They are overjoyed that you wake with vision and music after so many days of despair. They are ecstatic that you know the way- is keeping the victory of a determined soul. And living life as you choose, as you are meant to, because something broke, burned, and then transformed.
Your new dreams, your new life, the new you only happened because you fell down and got up.
