Isn’t it time to get to the essence, to the root of the answer to the question, “What’s it all about, Alfie?” Imagine waking up to a new system of wisdom and knowledge, finding out that the rules of mankind, the scorecard, and the ideas of sin and punishment were all just man-made. Because at the root of religion is the one way: enlightenment. Like Dorothy in her shoes, to find out it is all within. But the problem with our history and culture has been because of the car.
What are you using to travel to that road of enlightenment? Are you using a Ford, a Mercedes, or maybe even an airplane? The way you travel to that road of enlightenment is irrelevant, and yet wars, pain, suffering, and killing have been because of the car and the way to get there. Religion in itself is a beautiful concept: give unto others as you would yourself, be unselfish, be giving, connect to a higher power. It’s beautiful, but is it doing its job? Is it making you a better person? Is it making you more benevolent, more giving, more caring, more unselfish, more loving? And if it isn’t doing that, then you have to ask yourself and do research: what do I believe?
Even if you don’t go into a temple or a church, even if as a child you were scared of it and you don’t go in, the indoctrination still seeped in like invisible gas. What do you believe? Do you believe there’s a man on a throne judging you? Do you believe you’re not good enough to get in the pearly gates? Do you believe in sin, guilt, and punishment? It is time to do the research and to understand the goal and the car. The end point is benevolence, kindness, love of self, and enlightenment. Enlightenment is a joy within the nervous system, and that is the truth.
We don’t need people knocking on our doors making us believe what they believe, and we need to stop all this pain and suffering that is truly at the root, based on a false religion that is anti-spiritual and anti-love.
