With all that is going on in our world, we have to ask, what is the Karma of America? and What are the deeper reasons for our suffering and our great political divide? What did we do to deserve this President and this Congress and this great threat to our democracy?
Karma is the deeper laws of truth and justice. It is the soul bank account and balance of all a person has done, is doing and will do. It is the natural law of cause and effect, an extension of Newton’s 3rd law – for every action in nature there is a reaction. Every thought, word, feeling and deep leads to an effect. Be not deceived, God is not mocked, for whatsoever a man soweth, so shall he reap.
Karma is always working, it is impersonal, objective, exacting, with no exception and no favorites. The purpose of karma is not to punish and not even to work out old karma in earth school, but to learn and to grow and to evolve the soul. It is said that with our free will, we meet with the Lords of Karma, the Karmic Board, and create a life plan, a soul curriculum and decide how much karma we want to work out (and it is never more than we can handle).
We transmute karma by healing our souls, and making new choices, and by self-realization which is transforming into our divine self. Also, grace.
Why does it seem that some people can get away with everything and some people can’t? The explanation, I believe, is that there are two lines of karma. For light workers who are here to become powerful and help the planet – they are held to a higher standard and instant karma is their norm. And for those who are lost sheep, taken over by negative forces, the illusion is that it is an easier road. (but no one gets away with anything).
America, in its collective karma is now facing an era of darkness, “the mahamaya” which is a time of major illusion and confusion. The dark forces in its aggressive battle to win, is pulling out all the stops – to trick the masses. The country stands at the crossroads of light vs dark, and everyone gets to choose who will evolve and who will stay behind? The karmic enema is creating great upheaval. But there is also a great opportunity for purification and transformation. America, is destined to be the New Atlantis, the place of collective transformation into Christ consciousness.
Karmically America is and always has been the beacon of hope for the world. The eagle, stands as her ancient symbol of spiritual vision and freedom. America was founded by enlightened masters like Paine, Franklin, Washington, Hamilton, and built on spiritual concepts- Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness, We the People, by the people, for the people. We, the people of the United States. Roger Williams of Rhode Island stated that America is a new nation founded on Soul Liberty.
America has good karma. She is the leader of the free world, the greatest democracy since 1776, a generous nation, with ideals of liberty and human rights and helping other countries and people here in need.
But, the history, not taught in schools, the lies that were told in the name of democracy, have now come up to haunt us. The truth is we are a nation, built on the back of slaves, treading upon stolen land. We displaced and killed INDIGENOUS PEOPLE and we participated in the GENOCIDE OF NATIVE AMERICANS. We lied about Columbus. And there are other horrible things we did. Leaders of the American Revolution were slave owners, and we were and are prejudice against blacks, women, Jews, minorities and on and on it goes. We have assassinated foreign leaders, stole resources from distant lands and hurt mother earth.
There is a huge karmic price for all of this and that may be what we are living out. We can look for wisdom about this from Yogananda, the great Indian Teacher who said “no nation is perfect, but America will not lose because her karma is good. She has acquired more good than bad.” And he also said, the season of failure is the best time for sowing seeds of success!
America will survive and will lead the spiritual upgrade of the planet and all will be well, but a prayer for forgiveness would surely help things along.
PRAYER TO KARMIC BOARD
Dear masters of the karmic board,
We collectively join hands and ask that you shine love and light and truth and justice upon our land and our people. We know we are in a special time of transformation and cleansing, and we ask for gentleness in this process. Forgive us for any misdeeds of selfishness and unkindness. Forgive us for hurting this sacred land and for our materialism and greed. Forgive us for treading upon stolen land and hurting the indigenous people. We know what we have done and we are paying our debt. Help us all to be restored into a new era of freedom for all, justice for all. Expose those who try to hurt our country and our democracy and the spiritual beauty of our people. May America live up to her true destiny, land of the free, for all.
