What is the greatest power that we possess? Think about it. The answer is: the greatest power that we possess is our attention. Where is the camera? Where is the focus? Do you have the ability to anchor down, control the mind, discipline the mind, and sift out all the icky stuff?
So, we must train our mind, enlighten it, discipline it, control it, and keep out the trash. This is our greatest tool to be able to move our mind to the center. Like I always say, here’s a fishbowl and all the thoughts are fish. Make it swim into the center.
Another tool is to only record the good things – the things that will inspire, enlighten, lift you up – and forget all the rest. Like nature. Nature always knows what to do and it doesn’t waste any energy.
And here’s another trick. This is a camera. Keep it where you need it to be and watch everything like a movie. Be detached, be the observer. Watch your problems, watch your relationships, watch politics, the news, like an observer. So, you will be unaffected and neutral and be able to stay anchored in the boat – in that divine, beautiful place of power and stability.
Our greatest power that we possess is our attention.
