Surviving Mass Psychosis – Break Free from the Panic Trap

Mass psychosis is here—and many don’t even realize it. Thank you to Academy of Ideas for the inspiration and knowledge behind this message.

Let’s define what mass psychosis is. It’s when a large portion of society loses touch with reality. We’re smitten by madness—and we don’t even know it. We’re collectively mad.

There’s even a word for this: menticide—the killing and raping of the mind. History is filled with examples: the witch hunts, and many more.

So what drives people mad? Yes, alcohol, drugs, trauma, and psychological triggers—but most dangerously, panic. When panic grips a population, you can do anything to them.

Here’s how the trick works:

  • Waves of terror, followed by calm.
  • Then fear again. Then calm.
  • Then even more terror, over and over.

It brings us to a place of confusion. Of disorganization. Of sheer panic. Your mind is assaulted. There’s no time to rest or breathe. Then: isolation. Then: repetition. And finally, a false solution.

The population says: Just get me out of this panic—take my freedom if you must.

But there is a counterattack. There are solutions. And they are powerful.

Carl Jung said: “Bring order to the mind—to your own mind.”

Here’s how:

  • Free your own soul.
  • Become a beacon of hope.
  • Inspire others by example. When they see you do it, they’ll believe they can too.
  • Flood information. Don’t stop. They’re flooding it—we flood it back.
  • Ridicule the demagogue. Laugh at the dictator. That’s how you reach narcissists—through exposure and mockery.

Vaclav Havel advised: Create a parallel society. While their system collapses, build a new one.

And remember the power of the people. When we unite, when the masses wake up, that is the answer.

To leave you with this thought from Thomas Paine:
“The harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph.”

So hang on.
Free yourself.
Take care of yourself.
Inspire others.
And together, we can defeat the brainwashing and overcome the mass psychosis—a trick used by dictators and totalitarian regimes for far too long.

Because you cannot control a person whose mind has become free.
