After all the healing, a question?

So perhaps you’ve been on the healing journey for a very long time. Perhaps you’ve been exploring trauma for a very long time. Perhaps you’ve been suffering for a very long time.

After all of it, and this comes from years of experience, what I have seen is this:

Are you a spoiled brat?
Are you a victim?
Are you negative?
Do you complain?

Because after all of it, it comes down to just that.

You could work so hard for so many years on some really deep-seated problems, but if you don’t want to give up being spoiled, and you don’t want to give up being a victim, and you don’t want to give up complaining, then you have gotten what is called the benefit of the wound.

And that is a very important thing to look at now. Are you ready to grow up, to stop looking at the past library and using it to be lazy, to stay stuck?

It is a question for all of us: Are you still a spoiled brat?

The real transformative thing in healing is to say, “You know, I don’t want to be that anymore. I don’t want a pity party. I don’t want to be a spoiled brat. And I don’t want to keep complaining.”

When you do that, the healing journey that you took will really have an impact on your body, mind, and soul. And there will be real, real movement in your life.
